The New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation is participating in the Indiana Finance Association’s program to test each school’s drinking water for lead. This program was offered to all Indiana public schools and child care facilities, and it specifically tests water fixtures that provide drinking or cooking water to students. If a fixture’s result exceeds 15 parts per billion (ppb), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s “action level”, the corporation will immediately shut off the water to the fixture and begin the remediation process. You will find listed below each school’s lead sampling test results. If remediation is necessary, you will find a link to the remediation plan as well.
