Update from Superintendent Dr. Brad Snyder:
Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced on September 1st a new executive order which will change how some students are quarantined.
For school districts which currently have mask mandates in place, including NAFCS, those students identified as close contacts to a Covid-19 positive person will not need to be quarantined (provided they were masked) as long as they don’t show symptoms. Parents of those identified as close contacts will be notified and asked to monitor their child(ren) for symptoms.
This new guidance will be implemented immediately. Those currently in quarantine due to a close contact from a NAFCS school exposure may return to school provided they were masked at the time and continue to not show symptoms of Covid-19.
We value this updated guidance from the Governor and the IDOH. We sincerely appreciate your support as we work together to help make the 2021-22 school year a great experience for all.
