NAFCS Safety Statement

Safety will always be our highest priority in the New Albany Floyd County Schools. In light of recent events, we want to share a few thoughts with our parents and community. We are making every attempt to ensure that our students feel safe in all of our classrooms and schools as we maintain structure and stability. All schools have an explicit emergency plan recently reviewed and approved per Indiana Code. Our building administrators will continue to review these safety procedures with our staff and students. Counselors are available in each of our buildings to talk with students and staff if they feel the need for extra support. The educators and first responders acted with great love and courage at Sandy Hook. Our hearts are with those that have suffered tragic loss in Newtown, Connecticut.
